About Me

My name is Jas, and I am a 3D Generalist specializing in CG Visualization.

I have been working as a 3D Generalist for over 6 years now, with experiences in all aspects of 2D/3D work including design, layout, modeling, lighting, rigging, texturing, animating, rendering, and compositing. Some of the projects I have worked on have been television features (Mia and Me, Planet Sheen, and Busytown Mysteries), automotive commercials (Volkswagen, Toyota, Jeep, and General Motors), short animated television spots (Glad, Ferrero Rocher, Disney XD, and Disney Channel), full feature commercials (Bakugan, Kokanee, Tetley), and a few other large budget architectural projects.

With all that said, my passion is CG Vehicle Visualization. I have been a huge automotive enthusiast from a young age. As a child my favorite pastime was racing cars in my head using a stainless steel pot as the steering wheel. Fast forward to today, and I spend my free time modeling, texturng, lighting, and compositing 3D vehicles.

My career goal is to one day be a lead at a high caliber CG company such as RTT, Speedshape, Mackevision, Blur Studio, or Electronic Arts.

Here are a few of my key skills and proficiencies that I have aquired over the years:
 
- 6+ years experience with Maya and Mental Ray (this is my primary software)
- 6+ years experience with Photoshop 
- 2+ year experience with HDR Light Studio Pro
- excellent knowledge of hard surface modeling, texturing, and lighting
- excellent grasp on various lighting setups (including IBL, outdoor, indoor, studio lighting, etc)
- proficient in all other aspects of 3D including modeling, rigging, animation, UV mapping, texturing, basic MEL scripting, and compositing
- strong artistic background with a sharp eye for detail 
- excellent written and communication skills
- intermediate knowledge of photography, including exposure bracketing and HDRI compositing
- always meet or exceed deadlines
- work great in a team atmosphere and posses the motivation and skills to work with little supervision
- very self motivated when it comes to anything automotive
